SC Singapore Marathon thoughts

1 more day leave before the Singapore Marathon 2007

I have being follow a training program for almost 4 months. a average mileages of 20km+ and the max distance i had done is 36km and i done it for 2 time. Most of my training runs, start in the morning at about 4am and end up usually about 10am, almost 5 hours.

remembering the first marathon i achieve in KL in the beginning of this year, i train most of the time alone. average distance is about 16km+ and longest distance is 25km, Most of my training is at night, only 1 or 2 20km+ LSD in the final last weeks before KL 42.

A big difference in training, you say.

yup, very big different. i had clocked a longer distance this time, more time is spend preparing for this marathon and i am training with a group now. at least someone to motivate me when i am about to give up, most of the time.

group pressure, or self pressure? i don`t know.

in the last KL 42, not much ppl knew about it, but in this SCSM, seem like everyone knew i am training for it and expect a good result. hmmm...

sometime, pressure is good. but sometime, it back fired. i knew i got a good preparation for it, i knew i am in good form and i knew i had rest enough.

5km~ 30mins
10km~ 1hr 10mins
21km~ 2hr 20 mins
25km~ 3 hr
30km~ 3 hr 30min
35km~ 4 hr 10mins
40km~ 4hr 40mins

advice from whoever;

count the steps when you are shag " walk 10 steps, run 50 steps"
remember posture when tired
not too fast in the beginning
slip at every stations
remember to eat power gels at 21km, 30km, 35km
