Today is schedule for 4 hilly runs to prepare for coming GE30km next week. Start point at Queenstown swimming complex 515am. Meet up with the usual gang, Yankie, Joanna, Bee, Ronnie, LT, buay, Xiao di.
First NUS hill;
it must have been a long time since i run at NUS. lots of thing have changed but the famous nasi pandang is still there. reach the first toliet break 7km into the run. time 50mins. not much happening on the way, as LT, yankie and me is leading the way, we decided to do a longer distance up the 99 hills linking to kent ridge. LT said it is a longer run on slope 2 more km, "onz la" time to burn off some calories after last nite makaning.
99 turns
up the famous 99turns, the slope is good, not too steep, but enough. running up the slope, good breathing, light legs. reached up the slopes around 11km, time 1hr 20mins. after reaching the hills, waiting for the rest. fennel appear and join us the rest of the jounery. we proceeded to the next hill kent ridge
kent Ridge hill park:
not much ppl there at this hours. we proceeded on our runs. the sun is coming out now. but the gang still game enough to power up the slope. 2 round the hills. wah liao. not easy. i tired a different method conquring the hill, smaller steps and count the steps. not long, finished the 2 loops. we continue the runs to labordor park.
Larbordor hills;
running thru paris panjang, we run into the another famous nasi pandang store. Y mention that there is use to have 1.50 mee pok, wah... very hungry liao leh. we continue deeper into the park. at this time, i have already slow down from the Yankie, xiao di and LT. while, Buay, Joanna, Bee and Ronnie is still behind. up at the turn into the slope, the front gang is no way to be seen, I waited for buay to join me up the slope. remember, smaller steps and count your steps while going up. reached up the slope. time, 2hr 30mins. distance, 16kms
Mount Faber;
running back to the traffic lights, we tactic stop for a while, Joanna, buay, bee and ronnie decided to go back to start pt. while LT, me, xiao di and Yankie decided to continue to MF. running into morse road, my leg started to be aching. i slowed down and took a slow one, knowing that MF slope is not a slope to be look down upon. reaching morse road, the gang power up the slope, leaving me behind taking a slow one. in my mind, i just dun want to stop, even a slow one is good enough for me. on the second turn, I lose the gang, and i continue my small steps up. reached 3hrs distance 21km.
Returning;
"not much slope liao, down slope all the way, just a few humps" yah right! running back to the start pt, going down slope is quite ok, as the down slope, just carried your body into the distance. when running to deport road, the gang is already far ahead of me. i slowly make my run and not affected by their pace. while reaching deport road HP building. upon looking at the up slope, I decided to take a break! hell yea, i need this break, at this time, my leg is aching, like i had done a million leg press. i am going to walk the final slope to the traffic light, somehow, i knew the gang would wait for me there.
reaching the traffic lights, the gang is there stretching, i knew they are there for sometime. i do a slow jog to meet up with them. appreicate the gang for the waited up, as it is encouraging for them to accompany me for the final 3km back to the start pt. Reach the start pt, Buay had already leave for work, leaving behind Bee, Ronnie, Joanna, Fennel.

LT aka siao kai aka IM wanting to do swims and jio me to do it. aiyo, i cannot make it la, my leg is aching leh, later sure cramps. while he and xiao di went for their swim, we decided to go over to mkt for a well deserve laska breakfast.
