today is the most important day of the Christians faith, It is believed by the Christians to be the resurrection of Jesus, which Christians believe occurred on the third day after his crucifixion around AD 33. Many non-religious cultural elements have become part of the holiday, and those aspects are often celebrated by many Christians.
today also mark the "sent off" of my grandfather (in-law) at the ripe age of 93, Mr Tan Hee Teo passed away on Thursday. together with 16 Sons and Daughters, 15 grandchildren and a close to a platoon of great grand children. we sent Mr Tan off to the heavenly home back in the kingdom of God. almost all his descendants sent him off today, after a short mass from the paster, the elders cousin make his memories of his grandfather, follow up one of his closes son making a speech in teochew.
we sent off grandfather (in-law) at about 5pm, watching him going into the incrementing room, we just stand there watching, not much crying and shouting like the last funeral i went. this is more like a ending point of a human life at a ripe age. for this i salute the family and knowing that it is still very hard even for a death of someone in a very ripe age.
in 2 months, i attended 2 very different funeral and sent off, the first one is my cousin, a paster at a very young ages of 42. at the sent off, the moods is really bad and mourning is unavoidable. The 2nd of is a sent off of a very old man at a ripe age of 93. the moods is light, not sad. i guess it is a funeral that everyone wished he would attend everything if he has to. tonite, finish off with a good food at resturant and some gathering of the family.
