what a warm morning. woke up sweating!
reached the race at about 720am in the morning, many ppl were already there, sorting out their transition. I quick make my way to get my body mark and the timing chips.
went over to the tt area and take up my spot.
went over to the swim leg, for a quick dip. ( the water is still as salty) haha.
Swim
decided to stay at the side of the group, when the gun went off, i waited a while before running into the water. running by the side of the safety line, the group had already start the swim. i took my time.
started out breast stroke, I notice i am in the last pack. keeping my line, i was behind a few slow swimmer. eyeing for a opportunity, i saw a opening, i change front crawl and over took a few. knowing i had some open space, i continue the stroke and move forward. in a short while, i reached the turning pt and continue front crawl ahead.
on the second turning pt, i knew i am in good time, i continue my front crawling. shiok. suddenly, i notice there wasn`t any one swimming beside me. i raised head and found out i had being out of course by 30- 50m. aiyo. i swim back, aiming the float. sigh~
reached the beach, i din bother to look at the watch, ran up to the tt area for the bike leg. 200m into the run, while changing to my shoe, i looked at my watch. huh, only 20mins. hmm.. not too bad a time, considering i am so much off course. think think think , i am much faster then last biathlon, so quite happy also, especially i did most of the kicking this time round :P

time: sub 20 mins
Transition: 5 mins
Bike
running out into the bike leg, i starter high cranks. passing many bikers, i have to make up some loss time. keeping the speed at 30-35km/hr, i passed by many mountain bikes. reaching the first u turn pt, i slow down a bit and took a drink. powering back average 30-35km/hr
the route was a 2 loops of 10km flat course. (my home ground) not much happening on the bike leg, just keeping in mind of my average speed.
distance: 20 km
highest speed: 36km/hr
average 28km/hr
time: 35 mins
Transition: 3 mins
Run
pushing the bike into the tt area, took some drinks and carry on into the run leg. took a slow run to the first water pt, i was pacing a ang mo lady. reached the Drink station, took a cold isotonic drink and cold pain water and the rest over the head.
i was able to run faster since, the leg is back to norm. over took some on the run route, i finish the first loop in 15mins for 2.5km wah.. a bit slow leh.
continue into the final loops i could pace better. past by the first water pt, i took a drink and pace off. while into the right turn. i saw Shut doing his first loops, encouraging him, i over took him and run to touch down.

time: 26 mins
Transition: 2 mins
Race Time: 1 hr 25 mins.
Total Transition: 10 mins
Total: 1 hr 35 mins
I really enjoy every moment of this Tribob race events. From the starts of the Biathlon, duathlon and finally the Triathlon.
world class organisation, good supports thru-out and good route. no need to ask, i will do it again next year!
