Day one- Ikeabukuro

we take off from Changi Airport at 6am, we arrival at Japan, Narita Airport after close 7 hr of flight.

when you reached the airport, go quickly to the custom check out line, there will be a lot of ppl there, so dun wait. once you clear the custom and get your bags, turn right and go down the eslcator and goes to the nearest ticketing station.

tell them you wants to go to Ikeabukuro, they will advice you to buy Keisei Line Limited Express Train each 1000 yens about 70mins to Nippori and from Nippori to Yamanote Line each 160 yens about 12mins = 1160 each. Go down the elscator again to Keisi Line (remember to keep your ticket)

note: don`t worry too much if you dun understand what they are saying on the train (all in japanese) on the major interchange, they will annonuce in English, so listen up on (Nippori) I took note of the time we went up the train and listen up closely when it is close to 60mins, the train is seldom late and almost on time.

once you alight at Nippori, goes straight up the eslcator and look for gate 11. it wil lead you to take the train to Yamanote Line to Ikeabuokuro

note: Ikeabuokuro station is damn big, there are NSEW exist and it all takes you to different area. so please ask, if you are not sure. it took us almost 1 hours to reached our hotel (supposing to be only a 10mins walk) becos the damn security guards give us wrong direction :(

Ikeabukuro is a radiant place at night, lots of food, shopping and people everywhere, very much like taipei night life but only in Japanese. I notice almost everyone wear dark color winter wear, I wear the orange north face, make me look like aliens :P

nothing much we could do tonite, we went out for dinner, ramen, fried rice and some wanton . lot of ramen store, food stores, etc, but most are in Japanese and purchases is done by buying ticketing on a machine. temperture is very cold tonite, my guess is less 4 degrees

went to Sunshine City, the toyota centre is closed when we were there, so we walk around; it is a huge shopping centre, lots of food stores, but the price is higher. most of the shopping close at 8pm Japan time, but the train station is still people mountain, people sea. scary!
