Qns; what is your prefect weekend plans?
some would said wake up late, eat a nice hearty lunch, watch a movie, sleep the afternoon.... etc
mine? I would say wake up feeling strong, good legs, a long run to start the weekend. after that breakfast with your buddies, spend the weekends away at home and eat home cooked food at my mums, at night, watch a real nice DVD and sleep at 11pm. that my prefect weekend.
meet up with the guys today for a MR run, it must have been a long time since we ran at MR. today beside the usual, we have the accompany of ST, Too babe and IM buay and the usual suspect were, Tao, Fennel, LT, terence and myself. At the Carpark, met up with my cousin Eric, :"hey what are you doing here so early in the morning?" "the same reason you are here, my friend" I reply.. hehe he join the SAFRA Tampines and doing a 20km MR.
starter off the run at 730am after waiting for babe to arrival, we starter off just behind the SAFRA Tampines. I managed to catch up with Eric and chatted with him for a while before I broke away from him and pushed on up the slopes. reached the end of the first lap, time: 24.5mins. a bit slow but its alright. without waiting for others, I continue the run up the famous MR slopes into the pierce toliet, the leg is still strong, but a little panting now.
into air con road: running into the lane, the leg started to slow down and the breath still cannot catch up, so i have to slow down, knowing there is still a long way to go, dun wan to burn myself out too fast. reaching mid of the air con road, Terence appeared and he power away strong. while reaching the u turn, I saw LT coming in strong too. I continue to draft terence from him back until the exits, Tao, Buay and ST continue in, all looking strong. at the time LT has already passed me.
we continue the run into the gate, this time, we saw babe coming back, hey she lost her way away? hehe we took a break at the gate. TIme: 1 hr. we started to continue our way back and up the slopes. the 2 already ahead of me and i continue my paces. when i reach the toliet, the 2 already stopped. Terence had ITB and have to rest. we started to walk-run back to start pt and chatted along the way, about nutrient on IM, Japan trips, HK marathon etc.. reached end pt, 2hr 20mins.
Distance: 18km.
good session.
