went to the pools today for some swim drill.
500m: 11mins (free style)
started out the swim, relax, keep the pulls on the left hands and turn. feeling good. a little mix of breast strokes in between the sets
500m: 13mins (front crawl)
started the 2nd sets after 2 mins break. keep the drills right and breathing relax.
500m: 12mins (free style)
on the 3rd sets, felt a little tight on the left leg. but rest is still relax and good breathing.
Total Time: 38mins includes break in between. no stress on the body, still feeling good. should do a 40laps, but keeping in mind the kinestatics training in gym later. got to be conservative, no very sure how tough it is. will include more swim session till the Biathlon sprints on 20th Aprils.
Kinestatic Training
15 x 4 sets of Push up
15 x 4 sets of alternate leg push
15 x 4 sets of flipper
15 x 4 sets of squats
15 x 4 sets of "chicken backside" half squats while holding the ankles.
1.2km of fartleks
good session, I kind of enjoy this new way of training without the weighs. it improves the core strength in the lower part of the body without giving it huge amount of stress that a free weighs would give after the session. next training would be more for the upper body. look forwards to the session.
