Warming up the Leg: 5km

reached home pretty late today, need to clear some back log as still busy with the gala dinner video shoot. ha~ cant wait till 20th of June.

started the run at about 830pm, tonight objective is just to warm up the legs for tomorrow LSD at ECP. started out the run in a much faster pace tonight, keep in mind only a 5km run. i wanted to see if i can cover in less 25mins. keeping the stride open and quick cadence the breathing is quite heavy in the beginning, but it get better after 10mins into the run.

reaching velocity, i took a quick glimpse at my watch, 18mins. i got another 1.5km more. keep up a faster pace. The route up velocity is kinda slopely up. but i knew when i reached the traffic light it will have a slight down hill. i made a final dash towards the end and reached the traffic light 5km.

time: 25mins 18 sec.

after the run, my right back is in pain. just a spot, on the back. dun noe if it is the way i run, or i sleep in the night. hai~ need to monitor it for while, hope it will go away before the sundown. took a walk about 500m back to my flat, cool down. good session tonight.

recently there is an argument in the forum about "finishing fast" . lots of reply come and of cos, unhappiness created as well. there are actually a few different groups of runners in the forum, naming: the leisure runners and so-called pros. both promoting their different pt of view. there is no rights or wrongs in stating what you think, be it you are a fast finisher or a relax runner. I guess, it is the different attitude approach to the sport. Especially at different stages of your fitness. (dun tell me, you are always so fit since day 1 and you never slow before? what a show off! You cannot know why ppl have to run slow? and cannot finish fast in the end?)

in my opinion, unless you are a professional athlete that got sponsors from a country or companies and are earning a living from it. We (that includes YOU) are just a normal person with different level of fitness trying to keep fit by keeping our feet on the move.

It does not matter to us if you can run fast and stop boosting on your timing or achievement in the forum. not like you had won the world championship with that stupid timing of yours. 41+mins for 10k is actually nothing, a 1hr 30+mins half marathon, is not even close to our SAF Army guys can achieve, for your info, my pals can do a sub 1hr 25mins when we are at our fitness.... and deemingly slow for our standards.

unless u can make it to HongKong"Reserves", until then, keep it to yourself.

oh man, it is happening... i knew it. moderators, if you seeing this, you got to come out and fix it. trust me, i know! i can`t stand this person. it is getting boring and disgusting. yucks!

don`t you loved it when you have your own blog :P
