Charity Xmas Party

I had the privilege in participating in a charity home and celebrate their annual party during Xmas's last Sunday. It was not a big event with big budget and expensive gifts, the attended staff was not expected to be a large one either.

Being the lead this time, I arrived early in the afternoon with J. she was the camera woman that day. Waited for a while, my "rock and roll" band reached earlier then expected. He was an old man that sings for the resident every year with his old electrical guitar and his old song note, he bring entertainment to them, that most of us would not find it interesting. Later, my others crew arrived on time and we started to decorate the empty hall with balloons, Christmas tree, banner. Some of them packing the goodies bags while i try to hang the banner on the stage.

The Party starts when the resident arrived, the volunteers started to sing oldies to welcome them. colleagues and volunteers gets up and form a row by the side, giving high 5, holding their hands and smiling "welcome" When the resident seated, we started the games limbo rocks, balloons stepping and guess the number games. Laughter's, cheering and smile could be seen at everyone face. This is the time, I truly felt happiness in my colleagues eyes without any hidden agenda. We were also truly happy.

Although, many unhappiness had gather during the planning stages of this event. many were not able to help, or thought they had done more thing than other. but after yesterday, it had calmed us down and i hope that it also developed an open heart with a pinch of compassionate in all of us.
